First Day of School

Well, I am finally getting around to postics from the kids' first day of school. Shad started 1 st grade and Chloe started Pre-K. They both are loving it!! (oh and one of Gracie with her pigtails-and sucking her thumb as always)

Our New Doggie

We got a dog yesterday!!Her name is Maggie and she is 1 1/2 years old. she is a cocker spaniel mix. She is a good dog. We got her from a family in our ward that the husband is getting deployed in 2 weeks. She has another one to give away too. she has 4 kids so they will keep her plenty busy without worrying anout 2 dogs too! We are sooo excited! They gave us her kennel and bed and toys, leashes, etc. everything free. !! She is used to being around kids so it has been a smooth transition so far. Our kids love her and she is very mellow.

Happy 1st Birthday GRACIE!!!!!

Today was Gracie's 1st birthday! She was so happy all day and so sweet. She loved being sang to. She loved all her presents too! and she had a hay-day with her cake!! We are so grateful for her and the sweet little girl she is!

Our Trip to Maine

We spent last week in Maine , where we used to live. Brandon had class for 3 days and the kids and I went to the beach. Brandon also had a couple days with us too. We had a ton of fun going to the beach again! Gracie loved the sand. Chloe was actually not afraid of the water anymore, and it didn't take Shad long to be in the ocean like his old self. There were 2 rainy days where we went shopping and swimming at the motel(heated indoor pool) We had a great time on our much needed vacation.

Shad's "Graduation"

Shad had his last day of school on June 20th. The Kindergarten classes had a little concert and sang about 6 songs. It was so cute! I must admit my eyes were a little misty! I was/am so proud of him.. He did a great job! after the concert, they called all the names and handed out the certificates. It was hard to get very good pictures cause it was so crowded. luckily I got there 20 minutes early and got one of the last seats, the rest had to stand..

We are excited that summer is here. T-Ball started last Saturday for Shad and he is starting soccer next week. Both Shad and Chloe will be doing swim lessons again as well. We hope to keep somewhat busy this summer. Shad was shocked that Brandon had to work during summer vacation, we got up yesterday and he was leaving and Shad said where are you going? Brandon said 'to work' and Shad said "on summer vacation?' Hopefully I won't go too crazy with 3 kids all summer.....I know I won't be the first to ever have 3 kids, but this is me and some can handle more than others... haha.

Chloe's 1st Ballet Recital

Chloe had her first ballet recital tonight! IT was soooo cute! her class has 4 little girls in it that are 4 years old, and they did two songs. She did a GREAT job!! We were so proud of her! She had so much fun and said it was the best day of her life! I wish I could put the video on here too! The little girl in the 2nd picture with her is a girl from our ward,, that was in a different class. chloe got a "gold medal" that says star dancer and a certificate. Her Daddy also bought her some flowers! She was on top of the world. She sure is a sweetie.

Happy Memorial Day

We went to a picnic at the church for Memorial Day. It was a "bring your own meat" thing so we brought our grill for everyone to share. I forgot to bring the camera. Gracie didn't really like sitting on the grass and got a little bit of sun on top of her head.... The kids were all running around playing and Chloe was on a bouncing ball toy and we heard her crying, there was a little boy next to her with a bat and so we thought maybe he hit her with it. It turns out that he had bit her! and drawn blood with a big bruise. poor thing. It was right on her back. His parents said that was the first time he ever bit anyone...
Brandon went golfing this morning with the Elders quorum, and Gracie and I slept in til 8. ;o)
after the picninc we all came home and took a nap. We are thinking of going to Pirates of the Carribean...

bubbles bubbles everywhere!

we went to an ice cream social at the elementary school and they had a raffle there. we bought 40 tickets for 10 dollars and won 4 things. we won a doodle bear, dora jump rope, bulls-eye ball(game), and a bubble machine. The kids loved the bubble machine. it is pretty cool. it does 4000 bubbles a minute. Gracie wasn't sure what to think of it all, or maybe she wasn't sure of sitting on the ground...

That is all the excitment we've had in a while.. haha.

I am trying to figure out this blogging thing....

We are so excited that spring has finally arrived! The winters seem to go on forever in Upstate New York. We got our garden planted on Saturday. we planted corn, peas, beans, carrots, radishes, pumpkins, zuchini, and cucumbers. We haven't got the tomato plants yet- and that is the one thing I really care about!!! I am greedy and happy that Brandon and Shad hate tomatoes!! I just have Chloe to fight for them now!! We'll see about Gracie later on I guess...

Hopefully I can figure this out and keep on top of it now!
