A friend in our ward has breast cancer. So a lot of people from the ward formed a team for the "Race for the cure" on Sept 19th. Her name is Jen Kruse, so we were "Jen's Krusers". There was a timed 5k run, or 1 mile fun run or a 5k fun run/walk. If you know me at all, you know I never exercise, so I opted for the 5k fun run/walk. I walked about 95 percent of the way, but hey! I did it right? We all had a ton of fun. there were about 20,000 people there. I can't wait for next year, maybe I'll do the timed 5k.... :)

random things.

Von got his first tooth on his 6 month mark. he has the second one now(2 weeks later). He is such a fun boy! starting to do the rocking thing on hands and knees, and doing the army crawl. Also he is in 12-18 month clothes and not any room to spare! Shad was the same way at this age!
He is always so happy when he wakes up now which is so fun and he just grins and talks to you. The other day, Gracie gave him her barbie and then called him a girlie boy!! "Von is a girlie boy! Von is a girlie boy!"
Here are a few funny things the kids have said lately...
1.Shad's prayer the other night...and help us to do what is right, and sleep through the night, and not have bad dreams when we turn out the light, and that we wont fight and no one will get hurt by my might....
2. I've been making Shad take a shower every morning but he woke up late one day so i said he didn't have to and he said, "then what is my aroma going to be?"
3.Gracie"i need some scissors" me"what for?" Gracie"I am making some wings out of paper, it's very important I'm going to put them on my shoulders and fly up and sit on the moon. is that a good idea?"she cracks me up. she just turned 3.
Chloe is my little sweetie and more serious than the others. Next week she will be student of the week in her class so I get to go read her favorite book to the class in Tuesday. She is so excited.
I need a new camera battery, so sorry for the picture-less post!
